Meet Chinese 101.
A little, every day.
We’re building a Chinese learning app around a simple rhythm: discover a character, see it in context, then try to remember it.
Make the unfamiliar familiar.
Chinese 101 brings together a dictionary of 3,500 characters, available stroke-order guides, lesson examples and short daily practice. We want it to be easy to pick up for a few minutes and return the next day.
You can already try the website’s interactive previews: search characters, listen to a phrase and walk through a sample recall exercise. These browser demos use app content, but their progress does not carry over to the Android app.
A useful free start. More with Premium.
The free plan includes the full dictionary, five guided characters a day, the starter lesson and local progress. Optional rewarded ads offer a little extra practice or temporary lesson access. Premium is being prepared with the full bundled lesson library, practice beyond the free daily allowance and every ad removed.
We’re preparing the Android beta.
Enrollment is not open yet. We’ll publish the testing link and eligibility details here when the build and onboarding are ready. We plan to thank testers with free Premium access; the exact duration and redemption terms will be confirmed before anyone signs up.
Chinese 101 is still in development. Of the 702 bundled lessons, 260 are marked corrected and 442 remain drafts. Audio and memory illustrations cover selected examples. Honest feedback will help us decide what to improve next.
Build it with us.
Tell us what you want to learn, where the demo feels confusing, or which feature would make daily practice easier. You don’t need to wait for the app to share an idea.
